We hope you are enjoying autumn! The leaves are changing colors, the morning air is crisper and the days are cooler. Time to bake something delicious! And with apples being ripe in autumn, what better treat than Apple Crisp! This is an easy and tasty dessert, perfect topped with whipped cream, ice cream, or vanilla yogurt.

2. For the filling: Place 5 cups of peeled, cored, and sliced apples in baking dish and stir in the           mixture of 3 Tablespoons of sugar and 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon.

3. For the topping: In a mixing bowl combine oats, brown sugar, flour, and cinnamon.
4. Using a pastry cutter or two knives, cut in butter until it looks like coarse crumbs.
5. Stir in coconut or substitute with nuts, or 1/4 cup oats if that is what you prefer.
6. Sprinkle the topping evenly over the apple filling in the baking dish.
7. Place in 375 F oven and bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until the fruit is tender and the topping is golden brown.
